What I Offer
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
I offer counseling and psychotherapy services for individual adults as well as couples and families. I am able to meet with established clients via telephone and video as needed. I utilize Doxy.me for video work as it is a HIPAA compliant platform. For folks with physical limitations I am most happy to discuss options, alternatives and solutions for how therapy could take place.
My physical practice is held in a 500 square foot “cabin-office” surrounded by farmland, horse pasture and forest. A 75-yard walk from the parking area to the cabin is a feature of each in-person session. This walk from car to office creates a pause between travel and counseling work, an opportunity for greater attentions to this “this very moment.” The walk, by nature, changes through the seasons, ranging from dry heat, to soggy, snow and chill. Proper clothing and footwear are important for your consideration, and I am happy to make suggestions. It is also helpful to know that that I have no restroom in the office itself but that there are accommodations near the parking area.

I charge $150 per 60 minute session.

true financial burden.

Insurance
As of July 2025 I have resumed accepting Blue Cross BlueShield health insurance. Please call to inquire.
It is important to consider your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan and whether or not it is possible for my services to be covered in full or in part. This includes Blue Cross BlueShield clients or if you are considering trying to be reimbursed by an alternative insurance provider. I cannot advise you strongly enough that you contact your insurance provider (consumer helpline phone numbers are usually found on the back of health insurance cards) to understand how your plan may compensate you for Behavioral Health services.
The following questions could be helpful to ask your insurance provider to determine your benefits:
Does my health insurance plan include mental health or behavioral health benefits for working with an out-of-network provider?
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
If you need documentation as part of an appeal to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement, I can assist you with receipts for services that includes a breakdown or charges and diagnostic and CPT codes.
